The best thing about autumn in the Wachau is serving wine in the vineyards. In this regard, there is every Saturday from September 29.9th. to October 26.10.2023th, 13 in the afternoon from 17 p.m. to 00 p.m. opportunity in Spitz an der Donau. Winemakers serve their wines at four different locations. The places are the Red Gate, the lookout point on Setzberg, the Hinterhaus ruins and the 1000 One Mountain.

All four places are particularly beautiful viewing points and are located in the middle of Spitz's best vineyards. It is therefore wonderful on an autumn day to walk from the Red Gate to the Setzberg and on to the Rinne Hinterhaus and finally to the 1000 Bucket Mountain and have the opportunity to have a glass of wine in these places. 

We have created a map of the four places that shows the best way to get to these drinking places in the vineyards on foot from the center of Spitz. We put the whole thing together into a loop that starts at the Red Gate and runs over the Setzberg and the Hinterhaus ruins to the 1000 Bucket Mountain. The finale is the bar in the castle in Spitz.
